Goodbye

Hey everyone. I’m sorry to announce that I’m going to stop posting on this blog.  😦

I find blogging is a real hassle for me now and the new school year is starting and I’m going to be way to busy to post anyways. I may still use this account to comment on other blogs and such, but probably not very often. I’m still going to leave this blog up so that you can look through my old posts though.

I have met so many awesome people online! Thank you for all the super sweet comments that always put a smile on my face.

Camp Dolliwatha: Make Marshmallows and Granola

Hi! Today I’m going to show you how to make granola and marshmallows out of clay for your dolls. Copy of Copy of Make a Cut Tied Back Summer Tank Top. Perfect for Camping

DSC_1079

So first I used some golden brown clay and formed it into a cashew shape using a toothpick.

DSC_1082

Then I pretty much randomly used nut like colors and made a tear drop shape XD I guess the green ones can pass as pumpkin seeds? I don’t know.

DSC_1086

Next to make the marshmallows you can roll out some white clay and then put the base on the ground and press it down with your finger.

DSC_1088

It gives it kind of a more natural shape.

DSC_1091

Finally after you have made as many as you want you can grab a skewer and make a little hole at the bottom of your marshmallow.

DSC_1093DSC_1096

Make sure your whole is a tiny bit bigger than the skewer because it gets a little smaller when you bake it.

DSC_1099DSC_1101

I tried to make one where it looked a little toasted, but it didn’t really look natural, but you could try!

Then put your things in the oven (without the skewers) for however long it says on your package of clay.

DSC_1104

While your waiting for your things to bake you can cut up some skewers to be your sticks for the marshmallows. I made mine 15 cm (6 in) long.

DSC_1107

And there you have it!! After everything has been baked you can find a little bag for your granola and stick your skewers into the marshmallow. If yours are loose I advise putting in a little bit of hot glue, but my fit snug without glue.

I have another post coming later to make up for yesterdays absence so stay tuned 🙂

Camp Dolliwatha: Make a Hiking Stick For Your Dolls

Copy of Make a Cut Tied Back Summer Tank Top. Perfect for Camping

Hey! Today on Camp Dolliwatha I’m going to show you how to make a hiking stick!DSC_0862You will need:

  • Tape
  • Different colored paints
  • paintbrushes
  • scissors
  • A straight branch
  • glitter (optional)

(You don’t actually need a hot glue gun or ribbon I just thought I was going to add something else to the tutorial, but I didn’t so just ignore those)

DSC_0863

First I used a knife to cut off the outside bark, though you don’t really need to do that, but if you do make sure to get an adult to help you. And then I painted over it with one color. (Keep in mind this color will only be partially visible in the end)

DSC_0865

Next after the stick was dry I cut some tape in half and wrapped it around the stick in a patterned order.

DSC_0868DSC_0870

Then after I had gone all the way down the stick with tape I painted over it again with a different color.

DSC_0873

Next I cut some tape in a cool pattern and wrapped it around the stick, but you could stay with just stripes.

DSC_0875

Then I painted it with a final layer of purple paint and glitter. But the glitter is optional.

DSC_0879

Finally after everything had dried, I peeled off all the tape and then it was done!

DSC_1059

Now you have a fun and colorful walking stick for hiking!

Camp Dolliwatha: Make a Cute Summer Tank Top!

Hi! Today at camp I’m going to show you how to make a cute Tied Back Tank Top!

Make a Cut Tied Back Summer Tank Top. Perfect for Camping

DSC_0808

All you need is a sock and fabric scissors.

DSC_0810

First cut your sock in half. It doesn’t really matter which end you use, but since this one has a cute bow at the top I used that end.

DSC_0813

Next cut arm holes in the side of your shirt.

DSC_0814

Then put the top on your doll and put her hair up out of the way and throw the draw strings over her shoulder.

DSC_0816

Next I cut four lines on each side of the cut. But in the end I cut off the top one (that’s a little thicker than the others) and didn’t tie it.

DSC_0817

Finally you need to start tying them together, until all of them are done up.

DSC_0818

DSC_0819

And you’re finished!

Now your doll can wear this to the beach or on a camping trip!

It’s super easy to make a lot of these if you just buy a bunch of cute inexpensive socks.

Things To Do On a Hot Summer Day

Are you stuck inside with your fans on high because of the boiling hot weather? Well here are some ideas of what to do:
DSC_0652

Read! Pretty self explanatory, but just go to your local library and pick out a couple books and hunker down inside for the day.

DSC_0696

Do some shopping! Looking through a catalog and daydreaming is a great way to waste time.  😉

DSC_0694

Play with dolls! (Duh)  XD

DSC_0703

Colour! It’s a great way to relax and it’s even better if you have a book on audio tape to listen to while doing it!

Or take a zillion selfies on your phone. 😉

The Blogger’s Fantasy Notebook-Challenge 1

“Pleeeeeeasse, take me back!” Jackie screeched at the lonesome young man. The little girl had gotten no reason for her being taken from her home in the early hours of the morning. No matter how much she yelled and cried the man with the dark brown hair and crisp clothes would not take her back.

“I want to go home!” She yelled.

“And I want to go to the moon. It ain’t happening sweetheart. Time to accept that.”

“I will never accept that, Gabrielle. Where are you taking me Gabrielle?” She giggles every time she said the name posted on his tag.

“Don’t call me that.”
“Why not?”
“Because it’s my mothers name. I don’t like her.”dontcallmethat.jpg

“Why is it on your tag then?”

“Because this use to be her suit.”

“Why don’t you get a new one?”

The man with the unknown name just sighs and sits down on a lonely rock.

“Gabrielle, Gabrielle, GABRIELLE.” She chants. He tries to quite her, but soon the little girl’s screaming at the top of her lungs. Suddenly he lunges for her tackling her to the ground.  Tears run down her face.

“You must be quite.” He whispers

“You’re a sick sick man.” She replies in his ear

He stops holding her, gets up, and brushes off the dirt on his clean suit. Then he just stands there. As still as a statue, for several minutes until the girl just can’t stand it any longer.

“I think I broke him.” She whispers to her self.

Then he pipes up, “I’m not sick, I’m twisted. Sick makes it sound like there’s a cure.”
